Profile

The Department of Electrical Engineering was started in the year 1985 to handle the Electrical Engineering subjects of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Departments. The Department started offering the B.E degree programme in Electrical and Electronics from 1994 and M.E. degree programme in Power Electronics and Drives from 2002.

The collaborative research centre started functioning with the approval from ANNA UNIVERSITY with effect from January - 2006.

The programmes run by the department are B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering and M.E. Power Electronics & Drives.The Department was accredited B Grade for five years in the year of 2002 by the National Board of Accredition.
