National Institute of Technology Warangal is an institute which provides quality education in a diverse and multi-cultural environment . It imparts state of the art training to students to make them competent and inspired engineers. The Institute not only celebrates the power of knowledge, cultivates vision and encourages new ideas, but also inculcates human values and builds up an awareness about the self as well as the society around us.

               The National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NITW), started off as the Regional Engineering College, Warangal (RECW), established in 1959, by the then Honorable Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru laying the foundation stone. It was the first of 17 such Regional Engineering Colleges to be set up across the length and breadth of India.

SC/ST Cell established in 1992 aims to arrange career guidance and counseling for students. It arranges training for writing GATE. It also arranges for SC/ST scholarships and other industry – oriented merit scholarships.
